British security firms see upturn in Middle East interest
Despite harsh economic conditions at home, the British security companies are seeing an upturn of interest in their products from the Middle East. The findings from the British Security Industry Association are backed by new research from Export Council members that shows some 62.5% had witnessed an upturn in business revenues in the Middle East over the past 12 months.

The regional security, safety, fire and rescue industries came out in strength on the first two days of the region's premier safety and security event, Intersec 2012, which drew in big numbers to the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

VideoIQ had added the Harco Group in the Middle East to its international team of partners. Harco will be responsible for sales, technical support and distribution of VideoIQ's line of intelligent video surveillance systems within the Middle East, including iCVR-HD cameras, iCVR dome cameras and iCVR encoders.
