Ameristar’s Impasse ® Ornamental Pale Fence offers the resistive strength of heavy-duty ornamental spear-tipped steel pales, vertically secured to a framework of specially formed steel rails and I-beam posts. The stylish Impasse ® enclosure effectively delays even the most serious efforts to breech the perimeter. Ameristar’s revolutionary Aegis II ® Ornamental Picket Fence, with the patented ForeRunner ™ rail, adds security and beauty by hiding the picket fastening system internally, making it impossible to defeat the fence by the commonly used tampering methods.
Perimeter Alarm Systems/Security
Ameristar’s specially formed Impasse ® rails act as concealing trays for installation of cables and sensors for virtually any type of detection and warning system. Whether the security design calls for photoelectric detection, vibration sensing, or hidden wiring for silent or audible alarm systems, the Impasse ® framework can carry and protect the security network. The I-beam posts that support the Impasse ® system can be used to mount the sirens or horns used to sound audible alarms.
Security Systems
Ameristar’s Impasse ® framework has been designed to support multiple fence materials (pickets, pales, woven or welded wire, expanded metal) and to carry multiple sensors and cables. Ameristar’s Stalwart ® anti-ram cable system has earned the U.S. DOS K8 and K12 ratings, successfully stopping a 15,000-pound truck traveling at 40 mph and 50 mph, respectively within one meter of the fence line. Ameristar’s Delta Force ® barbed tape obstacle and entanglement system can be deployed in conjunction with Ameristar’s other perimeter systems.
Vehicular Equipment/Sally ports
Ameristar’s TransPort ® sliding cantilever gates can be used in conjunction with retractable bollards or steel security wedges to provide security at any vehicular access point. These active barriers can be configured for automatic activation or set to open from a nearby manned guard station.
